Sexual harassment training is no longer discretionary — it's mandatory. So says the Supreme Court...hundreds of lower courts...state and federal agencies like the EEOC and DOL...and over 150,000 charges costing companies like yours over $400 million in the last 10 years. Yet, charges of sexual harassment continue to create legal problems for many organizations. Managers and supervisors must be able to identify the types and patterns of sexual harassment. They must be ready, willing, and able to change their own behaviors to create the right environment and set the proper example for employees in order to eliminate any possibility of sexual harassment claims.
Education is key to preventing such problems. The goal of AHI's Preventing Sexual Harassment program is to assist you in training your entire organization so that everyone fully understands these issues, knows how to prevent sexual harassment, and is able to address such problems when they arise.
We've made this training program available in two versions — supervisor edition and employee edition. Training for supervisors must be more extensive than the training you give your employees, since supervisors have more exposure to claims. In addition to recognizing what is and isn't sexual harassment, the Supervisor Edition includes coverage on conducting investigations, recognizing the signs of sexual harassment in the workplace, and avoiding managerial decisions that can lead to either harassment or retaliation claims.
The Employee Edition was created to help your non-supervisory employees recognize that they are responsible for keeping sexual harassment out of the workplace, too. This module covers many of the same topics that are used in the Supervisor Edition, but the situations have been adapted to better suit the different perspective of employees. It teaches them what actions cross the line and can lead to potential harassment charges. The module reinforces what behaviors are acceptable in the workplace and what behaviors aren't acceptable. And it shows employees how to handle uncomfortable situations so that they don't escalate into full-blown harassment claims.
We've made it cost-efficient for you to train everyone in your organization by offering this course in three different delivery methods ...all based on the same professionally-developed and legally-sound course materials...so you can pick what works best for you!
